BEHIND THE LENS

The World and Life is full of magic and wonder and my head has always been full of fanciful images. How do you get those images out of your head and bring them to life ?

 

One medium that I am passionate about is sculpting, and the other I have dabbled with ever since my father showed me how to use a camera as a child, is photography.

I am not a professional photographer, but simply take pictures of what I like or what I am trying to bring to life. None of the models are professional either and the images are created as a team, and sometimes off beat or spontaneous ideas.

 

What drives me in sculpture and photography, or any art form, is to capture a sense of freedom. Freedom from our regular daily lives, an image where we revert back to the days when we could imagine magic, fairy tales and be anything we wanted to be for a moment.

 

None of the images would have been possible without the generosity of people (models) volunteering their time to create images and I am sincerely thankful. I am also thankful to those who helped apply make-up, paint, bug spray, provided a location, or simply supplied moral support.

 

There is a seemingly endless list of ideas in my head and many more images to come.
